Background:
San Antonio has a broad selection of colleges and universities. The Alamo Community College District (4 community colleges) is a public institution and is-in part-supported by property taxes. In the public sector there are two major branches of the University of Texas System located in San Antonio. The U.T system is "land grant" based and derives much of its income from land/oil/gas interests granted to it by the state in the 1800's. In the private sector there are a number of major church supported institutions.
Several of our institutions of higher learning have their own web pages. Hyperlinks to available addresses are included here. I suggest, however, that for specific degree programs, admission requirements, and fee information, you contact the registrar of the institutions directly.
